Catharina is a charming chalet on the very panoramic hills around the small village of Montaione, in central Tuscany. The picturesque century old country house was fully restored in Spring 2019. The owners, who often live in a separate part of the house, have created an incredibly welcoming ambience due to the great care to every single detail both in all the villa and in the gardens around.
The house is made of 6 double bedrooms, fully airconditioned and furnished with top quality beds and wooden interiors. Each bedroom is equipped with mosquito screens and rails are set at every window. The cottage can sleep 12 people and 3 extra beds can be added to extend the occupancy to 15. Guests can make use of a beautiful dining room with fireplace and of a fully equipped kitchen for the most comfortable stay. A barbecue area is also available outdoors as well as a panoramic veranda and plenty of tables and chairs in the open air. Upon booking a local experienced chef can prepare meals for the guests, from a buffet breakfast to a full dinner with specialties from the region. The chef can also run a wood burning oven for preparing pizzas.
Plenty of beautiful terraced gardens with autoctonous vegetation decorate the surroundings of the villa. The complex is in a beautiful olive grove with an extensive garden, suitable for playing bocce, an area dedicated to a children playground, a private sheltered parking area and a heatable swimming pool (15×5 mts) with parasols and sun decks. The pool can be used by the owners in the days they stay at their private part of the villa.
The location is very centrally located in Tuscany and the house is within walking distance from a small hilltop town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The villa has a charging facility for electric cars.

At CHECK-IN:
• Caution deposit: € 150 per room or € 900 for the whole villa. To be handled in cash. Returned upon departure in case of no damage.
• Tourism tax: € 1 per person per day (from the age of 14)
• Extra bed: upon request. Price: € 150 per week (or € 30 per day)
• Baby bed: upon request. Price: € 30 per booking
• Breakfast service: when booking all six rooms (as a group), a breakfast service can be arranged. The complete breakfast buffet costs 12 euros per person/day. Breakfast starts at 8.30, for one hour.
At CHECK-OUT:
• You can only bring a dog when booking the whole house. Additional cleaning costs €100 per week
• Cleaning help: upon request.
• Towel and linen change during the stay: upon request.
• Dinner service: when booking all six rooms (as a group), a breakfast service can be arranged. Ask for details during booking.
